I wanted to share with you my newest painting that I finished in May. The concept came from a calendar of images another artist had done. For this reason I wouldn't be able to reproduce or sell this particular painting, even though they are different in many ways.
This painting was given to my ex-fiance's mother who has beautiful gardens and a white fence as seen in my painting below. It was her mother's day gift this year. Part of me so very badly wanted to keep it for myself when the break up happened, but my feeling toward his mother have nothing to do with my relationship with him so I still gave her the painting.
The lighting was not very good when I took the picture but I hope you enjoy it!

Gros Morne Painting
When I was in high school I took a few painting classes but I didn't keep with it. Now that I am 25..I decided I wanted to take up painting as a hobby as I throughly enjoy it. In the fall of 2011 I completed an 8 week painting class with Perry Kieley, a local artist here in Gander, Newfoundland. Below you can see my first finished painting that is now hanging on my dad's wall in Pasadena. I wanted to paint this picture because Gros Morne Mountain is sitting in the background and my dad and I climbed it together in 2010.
I am currently taking more lessons and I am working on two more paintings that I will share when they are complete!
Enjoy!
